Data & Analytics

Your data. Your store. Your call.

Every click, view, and sale on your storefront is measured first-party, kept accurate as your store changes, and always yours to export. Here's exactly what we collect, how long we keep it, and why you're never locked in.

How your data is stored

Three layers, one principle: keep what's useful, own all of it.

Raw detail for the short term, lightweight summaries for the long term, and a clean export at any moment, so your history stays intact without hoarding data or ballooning cost.

Raw events

Kept 90 days. Every event in full detail. Page views, sections seen, add-to-carts, orders. Partitioned by month and auto-expired, so nothing lingers longer than it's useful.

Rollups & reports

Kept 2 years. Daily summaries per store power your trends, funnels, and reports. Small, fast, and cheap to keep, so your history survives without holding on to raw events.

Export & ownership

Yours forever. Download a clean CSV of your events whenever you want. Partner plans add API access and webhooks. Cancel anytime: your data leaves with you.

Ownership

No black box. No lock-in.

Your storefront runs on the open Dawn + gem framework, and your analytics live in your account, not a proprietary silo you can never leave.

  • Export every event to CSV in one click, on any plan
  • Reports built from data you can inspect. No hidden math
  • Partner: API, webhooks & full data isolation with SSO
  • Consent-aware capture: honors each shopper's privacy choice

Seeing the page

Where people actually look, click, and give up.

Numbers tell you a page is losing money. Maps tell you where. Both are first-party, captured on your own store, and kept under the same retention rules as everything else on this page.

Click, dead-click, rage-click

Every tap, including the ones that hit nothing. A dead click is a shopper trusting something that is not a button; a rage click is the moment before they leave.

Scroll depth

How far down the page attention survives, so a section can be judged on whether anyone reached it before it is judged on whether it converts.

Attention maps

Pointer movement, not just clicks. It is the heaviest thing to capture, so it sits on the top plan rather than being sold to everyone and sampled away.

How much history you can look back over depends on your plan.

Accurate by design

Numbers you can actually make decisions on.

Storefronts change constantly, and on GemBoss the AI changes them for you. Tracking is built to survive that, so your history stays honest instead of breaking every redesign.

01

Stable by role

We track what a thing is. A hero, a primary button, not a fragile id. Redesign your store and your history keeps flowing, with no broken charts.

02

Versioned changes

Every layout change is stamped, so a jump in the numbers ties back to the edit that caused it. Cause and effect, not guesswork.

03

Health-gated decisions

If tracking looks broken, the AI stops and tells you. It never optimizes on bad data. Reports you can stand behind.

FAQ

Data questions, answered

Who owns the analytics data?

You do. It lives in your account, tied to your store, and you can export all of it to CSV at any time. Cancel and it leaves with you. There's no proprietary runtime or lock-in.

Can I export my data?

Yes: a clean, standard CSV of your raw events, anytime, on every plan. Partner plans add API access and webhooks so you can pipe events live into your own warehouse or tools.

How long is my data kept?

Raw events for 90 days. Enough for detail, audits, and debugging, and daily rollups for two years so your trends and reports stay intact. Partner plans can set custom retention.

Where is my data stored?

In a dedicated analytics store in our Southeast-Asia region, isolated per store so one brand's data never mixes with another's. Partner plans can move to a fully isolated environment with SSO and role controls.

Do you respect shopper consent?

Yes. Tracking honors Shopify's Customer Privacy settings and per-store consent. Visitors who opt out aren't tracked, and nothing is sent without permission.

Does GemBoss sell or share my data?

Never. Your storefront data is used only to build, run, and optimize your store. We don't sell it, and we don't pool it into anyone else's reports.
